Job Description

For our Site Integration, we carry out commissioning of our advanced sortation systems at customer sites all over the world. Your primary responsibility will be to test, commission and execute the hand-over of our systems to the customer. You will participate in teamwork across the organisation in both Middle East and on-site globally.

Furthermore, Your Tasks Will Cover

  • configuring and testing the software for the system prior to on-site commissioning
  • carrying out and managing the commissioning - from power-up of the system, test of I/O lists to the overall tests
  • training both customers and internal colleagues in using the system
  • Provide Live production support after completion of commissioning

In Addition

You have a technical background as e.g. Electrical engineer, Mechatronics Engineer or similar. You have experience with PLC, IT networks and distributed I/O systems. Experience from a similar job and travel experience is advantageous. You master the MS Office package, and you read, speak and write English at a high level.

You will be travelling for 8 weeks at a time as a minimum, but will also be spending time in UAE working with product preparation.You should be willing to relocate to other GCC countries if required

It will be advantageous if you have the below skills as well:

  • Designing and developing controls systems using TIA Portal and S7
  • PLC programming, developing control systems and PLC automation software on projects from start to finish, FDS.
  • HMI Programming in WinCC.
  • Development, deployment and maintenance of Low Level Control (PLC) software for baggage handling system projects, using the BEUMER Std. Blocks and Libraries and tools.
  • Create Emulation Model for testing using Experior
  • Conduct internal and external testing of software utilising Emulation System
  • Create user documentation for software applications
     

Additional Information

  • Engineering Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum experience of 1 to 4 years.
  • Ideally below 30 years of age.
  • Western / European passport holders preferred.
  • Ideally worked on integrated Automation Systems in the Manufacturing or Distribution Industries
  • Preferably worked on Airport Baggage Handling or Logistic Systems Controls Programing / Testing and Commissioning.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Automation Products and communication Protocols like Profibus, Profinet, Asi, TcpIP etc.
  • Reading / understanding of Electric drawing in (EPLAN)
  • Reading / understanding AutoCAD drawing
  • Knowledge of Safety Systems and standards
